Ọṣọọ̀sì is the Orisha of the hunt and of the deep forest. He is a master tracker, not only of game but of truth and of whatever lies hidden. He is linked with abundance and with the gift of finding exactly what is needed, wherever it has been concealed.

Ọṣọọ̀sì and Ògún are brothers and frequent companions. Both live in the forest, both work with focus and skill, and both demand honesty. Where Ògún forges the iron tools, Ọṣọọ̀sì brings the skill and knowledge to use them.
His emblem is the bow and arrow, always aimed and always intentional. Loosing an arrow without a target is not in his nature. He acts only when the way to the goal is clear, which makes him an Orisha of precision and discernment.
His colours are blue and yellow, or aquamarine, and his sacred number is three. He is linked with the deer and the abundance of the natural world. In the Candomblé tradition of Brazil he is widely worshipped as Oxóssi.
